Terms
Last updated November 1, 2026
The rules for using Kova. By creating an account or joining a hackathon, you agree to them.
Your account
Give accurate information, keep your email and devices secure, and use one account per person. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Your work
You own what you build. When you submit a project, you let kova show it publicly, including its description, links, and team, and share it with the hackathon’s host and judges. Only submit work you have the right to share.
Playing fair
- Build during the hackathon, unless the host’s rules say otherwise.
- Don’t fake commit history or submit someone else’s work as your own.
- Don’t harass other people, spam, or upload malicious code.
Hosting
Hosts set each hackathon’s rules, judging, and prizes, and are responsible for delivering the prizes they list. kova doesn’t hold or pay out prize money.
Judging
Each hackathon’s host and judges decide its results. AI summaries are there to help judges and can be wrong. Build verification is evidence, not proof; see Help for how it works.
Removing content
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
No guarantees
kova is provided as is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Questions? Contact the team that runs this site.
